February 17, 2020. Accra.
Monday, we toured more of Accra, starting with the Parliament.
We loved the painted trees in the driveway.
They are dressing up everything in preparation for their March 6 Independence Day celebrations.
Sowmya and Joy with Edwin, our driver.
We love the flags. Maybe even more, we love being able to see the sky.
It was like Bejing when we arrived last week. This week is hotter but less fog/smog.
Today, we stopped at the Kempinsky Hotel to look around.
We enjoyed the art and the hot chocolate. It was divine!!
This is made out of old plastics.
This hot chocolate was such a treat.
Ghana grows cocoa, and really knows how to make thick, rich hot chocolate.
I loved the double walled cups and teapot so much, I ordered some online.
Statute outside the National Theater, built by the Chinese.
We had to get into the bargaining a bit. Sowmya did some serious bargaining for a lovely basket.
Black Square.
The obligatory soccer stadium.
